An Automated External Defibrillator is a sophisticated, battery-powered, microprocessor-based device that incorporates a heart rhythm analysis and a shock advisory system.

This course covers the following skills:

• Checking a patient's responsiveness
• Deploy AED in Emergency Situations
• Practice AED pad placement
• AED Adult
• AED Child
• Use AED trainer to simulate the steps for analyzing and shocking a patient (mannequin).

This one hour course will orientate you in defibrillator use, which has been proven to increase the survival rate of a patient with cardiac arrest by fifty percent.
